hey. heres a detailed account of the actions we are doing for the saxophonce ensemble.

-formation (when walking onto stage)
from left stage: alyssa, denise, shalyn
from right stage: phoebe, beatrice, sabrina, joycelyn
-phoebe gives a signal "1,2,3,4" with her hands. EVERYBODY WATCH!
-the moment we play the first note, we start walking towards each other. Both groups will meet each other at the centre. Walk according to the tempo = walk very slowly. We should be at the centre by bar 4-5
-Get into the curved ( inverted 'u' ) formation. Shalyn and joycelyn at the outest-most, phoebe at centre. STAY ROOTED TO THE SPOT BUT SWAY YOUR BODY TO THE MUSIC. This action will last through the whole first time house and until bar 7 of the second time. At second time house, that is bar 11, move into the straight line formation. So, Shalyn and Joycelyn and the rest must move back and out. Phoebe does not move.
-by bar 13 we should be in the straight line formation already.
-phoebe givews the cue.
-bar 15 phoebe steps out. bar 16, 2 1/2 beat, tenor steps out. bar 17 bari steps back in. bar 18, 2 1/2 beat alto steps out. bar 19 tenor steps back in. bar 20, 2 1/2 beat bari steps out. bar 21 alto steps back in.
-bar 22 ALL step out. remember to play as du-dah!!
**note for this section:
when you step out, remember to raise your instrument as high as possible, and look at the audience with confidence! if you're not playing the melody, hunch and lower your intrument and move left and right.
-bar 22 third beat, sabrina's solo: no movement
-bar 23, move left and right.
-first time house, no movement.
-bar 15, repeat the same actions as the first time.
-bar 22 third beat, sabrina's solo: no movement
-bar 23, the group on phoebe's left (alyssa, denise shalyn) will turn left. Alyssa and shalyn will sway right first, and denise will sway left. After every 2 beats change direction. So, Alyssa and shalyn will sway left and denise right. Phoebe will be in the centre, so she faces the audience and do whatever she wants. Likewise, the groups on phoebe's right (beatrice, sabrina, joycelyn) will turn right. Beatrice and joycelyn will sway left first, and sabrina will sway right. After every 2 beats change direction. So, beatrice and joycelyn will sway right and sabrina left.
Therefore, the big picture is phoebe in the centre and and "in-out-in-out" movement thing on each side of her. It should be a mirror image
-this will last till the 2nd time house. At bar 32, everybody faces the front. At bar 33 1 1/2 beat eveyone will run to their final positions, which is :
Phoebe runs towards the font of the stage. Alyssa will run to her position which is 1 m away from phoebe (on her left) and denise 1 m away from alyssa. Likewise, beatrice will run to her position 1 m away from phoebe (on her right) and so on.
Therefore, the big picture is eveyone standing in a straight line 1 m away from each other.
By bar 34, we shld be at our final positions.
-at the forte piano note (last note) everyone one must suddenly bend their instrument down and slowly raise their instrument according to the volume of the note. Hold the note as long as poosible. Remeber: be DRAMATIC!
